- Dance: Basic movements and coordination, with simple steps to fun and energetic music.
- Body Awareness: Helping children understand how their bodies move in rhythm and time with music.

Building Skills in Music & Dance
At this stage, students will build on their foundational skills, learning more structured forms of music and dance. Key Focus Areas:
- Music: Introduction to different types of songs, folk music, and simple musical instruments like recorders or harmonicas.
- Dance: Learning basic choreography and group performances, focusing on simple folk and classical dance forms.

Advanced Music & Dance
For middle school students, the curriculum introduces more advanced music and dance techniques, with a focus on performance and understanding the theory behind the arts. Key Focus Areas:
- Music: Learning to play simple instruments such as the keyboard, guitar, or drums; understanding musical scales, notation, and basic composition.
- Dance: More complex choreography, introducing students to classical and contemporary dance styles, as well as experimenting with fusion dance forms.
- Music Theory: Introduction to the basics of musical notation, scales, and rhythm patterns.
- Performance Skills: Students will be encouraged to perform in groups or solo, honing their stage presence and confidence.
- Cultural and Historical Context: Understanding the historical and cultural background of various musical traditions and dance forms, such as Indian classical music (Hindustani/Carnatic), Western music, Bharatanatyam, Kathak, hip-hop, and modern dance styles.
